A shallow vale between the peaks of three overlapping hills in northern Devonshire, several miles south of Colkirk. It is lightly forested, with thick grass and many flowers in those areas that get enough sunlight to support them. In the center of the vale is a spring that is inhabited by a magical spirit (a genius loci, for those who have studied such things). Local legend says that bathing in the spring on the first day after the autumn equinox will heal wounds and diseases; this is largely true, although there are some limits to what can be accomplished.
- Magic aura 2 throughout the vale.
- Spring water collected on the designated day contains 4 pawns of Creo vis. The spirit has granted the Colkirk magi or their servants permission to collect this vis.
- The details of the spring’s healing properties have not yet been examined
